Mt. Gede & Mt. Pangrango 3D2N

Hike through the tropical rainforests of Mt. Gede-Pangrango National Park adjacent to historical Cibodas Botanical Garden. Lying between Cianjur and Sukabumi regencies of West Java Province, the Park is rich with flora and fauna and is covered by sub-montane, montane and sub-alpine forest. The active Mt. Gede volcano (2,958 m) and triangular shaped Mt. Pangrango (3,019 m) are favored weekend hiking destinations for many Jakartans. Waterfalls, hot springs, dense jungle, fresh air, and cool weather, will serve as a refreshing weekend getaway from the bustling city life.

Day 1

Jakarta/Bandung – Gunung Putri – Suryakencana meadow campsite

Pick up service at 6 am in your hotel in Jakarta or Bandung and transfer to Gunung Putri gate which takes 3 hours. Start trekking to Suryakencana meadow, the infamous edelweiss field for 3 hours. Lunch box will be provided. Afternoon tea will be served at campsite. Dinner and overnight at Suryakencana campsite.

Day 2

Suryakencana – Summit Mt. Gede - Summit Mt. Pangrango – Mandalawangi Camp

4 am wake up call and preparation for climbing up to the peak of Mt. Gede volcano. Hot tea or coffee will be provided before the climb. Reach the peak in time for sunrise and enjoy scenic Mt. Gede’s active crater and the triangular shape of Mt. Pangrango. Breakfast will be served at summit. Afterward continue to Kandang Badak campsite then to summit of Mt. Pangrango and down to Mandalawangi camp. Late lunch will be served at Mandalawangi campsite. Overnight and dinner in tent.

Day 3

Mandalawangi Camp - Cibodas _ Jakarta

Wake up call at 5 am and breakfast. Down to Cibodas gate for 7 hours and stop at hot spring and waterfall. Lunch at Cibodas gate then transfer back to Jakarta airport or hotel. (suggested flight departure after 8 pm)
